What Has Been Too Long in the Coming:

Mr. Rainwater wasn’t lying to you, it turns out (at least, not about my making an appearance). What should have been a constant from day one has taken entirely too long, but at last I’ve found freedom and time enough to start updating this bit of the website on a regular basis. Thank goodness for that; much as I love Mr. Rainwater, I’ve no doubt he was getting frazzled from his manifold responsibilities. That I can take this much of the burden up on my own shoulders means that the man can go about fixing things more important up.

In his stead I’ll be filling you in on the day-to-day and week-to-week running of our offering. This means some form of running commentary on the individual pages (there’s more to be said about some of these than others, but I think I can find something interesting to chime in about with each one), some musings about comics, music and whatever else strikes my fancy or inspires me here, and a little bit of venting about this whole Washington semester.

Though I really shouldn’t be; it’s this semester-long excursion that’s giving me time and mental space enough to start with the updates. To boot, it affords me an interesting look into one of the most musically relevant cities in America, birthplace of American hardcore and every related sub-genre of punk under the sun. So please keep up with the blog, if you wouldn’t mind; this is looking to be something of a landmark period for yours truly.

    Yesss, excellent, yessss….

  2. And a howdy to you, Mr. Bevill! Nice to see that we’ve got at least one constant fan in this hate-breeding world. And a comics-man (we need a word for our profession, and I propose this to be it!), no less! Nice to have you on board.
